Refund Policy

Last Updated: 17 May 2026 ยท Version 1.0.0

1. Who this policy applies to

This Refund Policy governs the relationship between YourCart Ltd (registered as YOURCART.STORE LTD, Companies House No. 15316188, registered office 15 Timperley Lane, Leigh, Greater Manchester, WN7 3DZ, United Kingdom; "we", "us", "YourCart") and the merchant ("you") subscribing to the YourCart platform.

This policy does not govern refunds your customers may request from your shop. Refunds for orders placed by your customers on the app or storefront we provide to you are governed by your own refund policy, not ours. You are the seller of those goods; we are the platform you use to sell them.

2. Statutory rights (UK)

Where you contract with us as a consumer (a sole trader purchasing for purposes outside your trade is unusual but possible at our pricing), the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract formation (sign-up). Within this period, you may cancel for any reason and receive a full refund of any sums already paid.

Where you contract as a business (a limited company, partnership, or sole trader purchasing for trade purposes), the cooling-off period does not apply, but the refund terms below do.

3. No free trial

YourCart does not offer a free trial. Setup involves catalogue entry, branding capture, and App-Readiness — too involved to gate behind a trial that the merchant might walk away from. Subscription billing starts on signup.

The early-days risk for founding-cohort merchants is covered by the 30-day money-back guarantee in section 4 below. Merchants outside the founding cohort rely on the statutory cooling-off rights in section 2 (where they apply as consumers) and the standard subscription cancellation terms in section 5.

4. 30-day money-back guarantee (founding cohort only)

In addition to any statutory rights, founding-cohort merchants receive a 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of first paid subscription:

5. Subscription cancellations — monthly billing

You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

No refund is given for the unused portion of the current billing month. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that, the subscription stops and we no longer charge you.

This is standard SaaS billing practice and does not affect any statutory rights under section 2.

6. Subscription cancellations — annual billing

Annual subscribers may cancel at any time. Where cancellation occurs:

7. Refunds following Acceptable Use Policy violation

If we suspend or terminate your account for breach of our Acceptable Use Policy (e.g. you signed up despite selling a restricted-vertical product like vape, CBD, tobacco, or cannabis — see AUP), the founding-cohort refund and statutory cooling-off rights remain available where applicable, but you forfeit any pro-rata refund of an annual fee paid. Subscription fees already collected for the suspension month are not refundable in this scenario.

8. How to request a refund

Email admin@yourcart.store with:

We will respond within 2 UK business days confirming receipt and within 10 UK business days with a decision and, where applicable, the refund processed to your original payment method.

9. Stripe processing fees

Stripe charges a small processing fee on every transaction. Stripe processing fees on a refunded transaction are not returned to us by Stripe — they are kept by Stripe regardless of refund. The Stripe processing fee on the original charge is therefore deducted from the refund amount you receive. For example, on a £24.50 refund, the net amount returned to you will be the £24.50 charge less the Stripe processing fee retained by Stripe on the original transaction. The exact deduction depends on Stripe's fee schedule applicable to that charge at the time it was processed.

10. Disputes

If we cannot agree on a refund, you may raise the matter with UK Trading Standards (where you have contracted with us as a consumer) or the UK Small Claims Track (for low-value business disputes — claims up to £10,000). UK courts have jurisdiction.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified to active subscribers by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Changes do not retroactively affect refund rights for transactions completed before the change.
